To be honest, were super bummed, the last time we were in the UK was 2007 with alexisonfire and those shows were awesome. But its just not the right time for us to be over there. I wish I had some elaborate story about members losing limbs while shark diving, but the truth of the matter is, we didn’t get a record released In the UK and europe was a lackluster one at best. This is the reality of the times I suppose, downloading, bad business models, and the economy etc. Its all too blame, but the bottom line is, it costs a lot to tour, esepecially overseas, and its never been more important then now, to make sure as a band, that we are touring intelligently and not just because. We hope no one is super mad at us, and promise that once we get a home figured out for the record, we will. Be back and ready to give you the SAOSIN you expect Cheers friends and again, we apologize and hope you understand the circumstances.”

The WE RECOMMEND page is now a drop down option from the PROFILING page.
We also want to try another forum page, but aren't sure if people will actually use it this time. That's just an idea we are toying with.
If you have any thoughts on things we should try or change, please leave a comment here for us to read!
We will be starting work on the 1st Quarter Special today. Expect it early April. You can find details on a previous entry of this blog.
Hey everyone,
As friends of mine know, I am riddled with health problems and considered legally disabled by them. For the past couple weeks, I've been very sick and that's why the site seemed to fall behind on things.
Don't worry though! I'm finally starting to recover enough to get back to work on everything.
Today, I am adding new pages and page sections. Our home page, for example, now has a section for important album releases on the horizon. I will also be adding a new type of feature called "Profiling" where we will spotlight a band (either signed or unsigned) and cover the past, present, and future of that artist. I have yet to decide if this will be a new page, or appear on Coverage or We Recommend.
Also, I will have a handful of new reviews up tonight for:
-Portugal. The Man
-Four Year Strong
-Isles & Glaciers
-The Bled
-We Were Promised Jetpacks
-House vs. Hurricane
Currently, we recently added a huge interview w/ THE USED to our Coverage page, so please check that out!
Final note: Come by LMP tonight to see all the new stuff and continue supporting this indie music site!
- Nathaniel Lay
For those who follow this site closely, you already know that we dumped the idea of a monthly issue in favor of a quarterly special. Why? By posting new stuff as we get it, our readers won't have to wait and they will more likely to visit the site daily as a result. It also makes our lives easier. Our graphics designer is a busy man and we don't want him to feel rushed putting his skills to the test.
Anyway, the reason why I decided to post a blog about this is our first quarter is coming close to an end. For those who do not know this, a quarter is 3 months. There are 4 every year. The first 2010 quarter ends with March!
What will you find in our quarterly special?
- The best coverages from the site (of the past 3 months)
- The best recommendations from the site (of the past 3 months)
- The most important album reviews from the site (of the past 3 months)
- Exclusive articles, interviews, recommendations, etc.
- Free downloadable mix of unsigned talent *
We're pretty excited for this first quarter for several reasons. We covered a lot of great stuff already this year, and we want to see it in a cool looking issue already! We also have some ideas we want to test with this issue (such as the downloadable music) and see how our readers respond to it.
Be excited! The 1ST QUARTER 2010 SPECIAL will be up for download this early April!
*If you think you'd want your song on this mix, contact us today for details!
